Description
No. 1463 / Faces
It belongs to a large collection of face-like objects, masks, abstract bodies. Some of them represent abstract painting, others remain as a collage or assemblage of dust, jewelry, folded fabric, or found objects. One of the main ideas is to show or reflect our society through this view finder or frame. Often there is a tendency to show them stacked or aligned on the wall, ideally on eye level. The motifs shuffle through such topics as fairy tale, politics, architecture, code-like text message, religion, war, heroism, happiness and melancholy.
No. 1463 is transformable and prefers sometimes to be twisted or punched. It can be pumped up with an air compressor/bicycle pump on the backside once it collapses.
