Buttons in vivid oil paint on canvas are a special element in the art of Astrid Kajsa Nylander. In her unfinished series “mini jobs”, the young artist from Gothenburg uses colour as a material and spatial element. Nylander uses it to create hyper-realistic, small-format paintings that stand in a larger social context. Knöpfe in knalligen Ölfarben auf Leinwand sind so etwas wie das Erkennungszeichen von Astrid Kajsa Nylander geworden. In ihrer unvollendeten Serie „mini jobs“ nutzt die junge Künstlerin aus Göteborg Farbe als materielles und raumgreifendes Element.
