Description
This work was created in response to an invitation of the Korean Fashion and Culture Association to the Fashion Museum in Milan. The theme was Connecting Borders. Fashion Art and Hangeul. The letters say KISS in Hangeul (Korean script). THE KISS has hand quilted the word kiss together with lips of different sizes on a silken caftan. Methods applied include local art and craft, zero waste, deconstruction/reconstruction, use of end of role and discontinued fabrics. This work can be used as a decorative as well as a wearable item.
