Description
My works are often inspired by literary models, for example the series "Der Apparat" refers to a play by Jean Genet ("The Balcony"). The play, which is set in a brothel, deals with basic questions of human existence and questions the relationship between reality and the role of the individual within the social machinery surrounding him. "Bunny Blue" is one of a series of "wool faces" that are a reference to characters in the play. The irregular holes in the wool can also be seen as a face. It faces the viewer but looks like a grimace and is more reminiscent of a horror film (such as "Scream", in which the murderer uses a mask that is modeled on the face in Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream").
