Following in the footsteps of her ancestors, who lived in Scotland some 700 years ago, the artist had made a journey there and explored nature in the north of the country. Characteristic of the region are the shapes and colors reminiscent of Martian landscapes, which are reflected in the works as abstract-looking formations. As material for the series, the painter used handmade, multiple primed Khadi paper and oil paint applied in thin layers.<\/p>\n<p>D \/\/<\/p>\n<p>Die Topografie der schottischen Highlands, gepr\u00e4gt durch dramatische, dennoch sanft flie\u00dfende<br \/>\nLandschaften, hohe Berge, tiefe T\u00e4ler und viele Seen, diente Rubica von Streng als Inspiration fu\u0308r die Arbeiten dieser sechsteiligen Werkserie, die<br \/>\n2022 entstand. Auf den Spuren ihrer Vorfahren, die vor rund 700 Jahren in Schottland lebten, hatte die Ku\u0308nstlerin eine Reise dorthin unternommen und erkundete zugleich die Natur im Norden des Landes. Charakteristisch fu\u0308r die Region sind die an Marslandschaften erinnernden Formen und Farben, die sich in den Werken als abstrakt anmutende Bildformationen niederschlagen.
