Mythos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Renz untersucht vorhandenes Bildmaterial aus den unterschiedlichsten Medien und nutzt es als Vorlage f\u00fcr Ihre collageartigen, mehrschichtigen Arbeiten. Manche entstanden tats\u00e4chlich als Collagen wie die Bl\u00e4tter der Serie &#039;Fernakademie Renz&#039;. Hier nutzt sie einzelne Abbildungen aus einem anatomischen Lehrbuch f\u00fcr K\u00fcnstler, die sie \u00fcberzeichnet. Die anatomische Lehre mit den bis auf die Knochen entbl\u00f6\u00dften Figuren konfrontiert sie mit Mischwesen aus Mensch und Tier, die eigent\u00fcmlich sexualisiert, dem n\u00fcchtern aufkl\u00e4rerischen Blick auf den K\u00f6rper als funktionierendes Gef\u00fcge entgegenstehen. Inwieweit Anatomie und Eros zusammengehen k\u00f6nnen, zeigt sich an anatomischen Darstellungen des ausgehenden 18 Jahrhunderts. Wohl erst im 20. Jahrhundert werden K\u00f6rpermodelle zu einem Schema, welches Eros und Scham ausgegrenzt.<\/p>\n<p>Renz examines existing visual material from a wide variety of media and uses it as a template for her collage-like, multilayered works. Some were actually created as collages, such as the sheets in the series &#039;Fernakademie Renz&#039;. Here she uses individual illustrations from an anatomical textbook for artists, which she overdraws. She confronts the anatomical teaching, with the figures stripped to the bone, with hybrid creatures of human and animal, which are peculiarly sexualized, opposing the soberly enlightened view of the body as a functioning structure. The extent to which anatomy and eros can go together is shown by anatomical representations of the late 18th century.
