COATING \/\u00a0 \u00dcberzug\u00a0 \/ Schicht (Glasur)<\/p>\n
Ist eine Reaktion auf einzelne Forschungen zu Objekten des \u00a0mich beeindruckenden Partizipations-Projekt \u201aKaufbeuren unterm Hakenkreuz. Eine Stadt geht auf Spurensuche.\u2018 von Okt 2018 bis Okt 2019 mit einer anschlie\u00dfenden Ausstellung der Ergebnisse der Spurensuche.<\/p>\n
ANZUGJACKE:<\/p>\n
Von 1933 bis 1943 war der NSDAP-Kreisleiter Hans Wildung, Tr\u00e4ger des Goldenen Ehrenzeichens der Partei, Erster B\u00fcrgermeister von Kaufbeuren. Es gibt von ihm ein offizielles Portrait in \u00d6l, das in seinem Amtszimmer im Rathaus hing. \u00a0Gemalt wurde es von seinem Bruder Eduard Wildung, offensichtlich nach einem Foto, das ihn in der Uniform eines NSDAP-Kreisleiters zeigt. Auch dieses \u00d6lbild wurde nach 1945 entnazifiziert \u2013 die Uniform verschwand unter einem schwarzen Anzug.<\/p>\n
KLEIDERB\u00dcGEL gefertigt aus Buchsbaum:<\/p>\n
Der j\u00fcdische Kaufmann Ernst Buxbaum, geboren 1897, Tr\u00e4ger des Eisernen Kreuzes, betrieb noch bis 1938 ein Textil- und Damenkonfektionsgesch\u00e4ft in Kaufbeuren. Nach direkten Boykottaufrufen gegen sein Gesch\u00e4ft und einer Inhaftierung im KZ Dachau 1938 erh\u00e4ngte er sich am 19. April 1940 \u201e<em>da ihm die Nazis derartig zugesetzt haben<\/em>\u201c, wie sein \u00fcberlebender Bruder angab.\u00a0 In der Zeit seiner Inhaftierung l\u00f6ste sein Bruder das Gesch\u00e4ft in Kaufbeuren auf \u2013 der Erl\u00f6s war weit unter Wert.<\/p>\n
COATING<\/p>\n
Is a response to individual objects of the participatory project 'Kaufbeuren unterm Hakenkreuz. A town goes in search of traces.' from Oct 2018 to Oct 2019 with a subsequent exhibition of the results of that search for traces. Kaufbeuren is my hometown and I was impressed the project looked into its Nazi past.<\/p>\n
SUIT JACKET:<\/p>\n
From 1933 to 1943, the NSDAP district leader Hans Wildung, bearer of the party's Golden Badge of Honor, was First Mayor of Kaufbeuren. There is an official portrait of him in oil, which hung in his office in the town hall. \u00a0It was painted by his brother Eduard Wildung, obviously after a photo showing him in the uniform of an NSDAP district leader. This oil painting was also denazified after 1945 – the uniform disappeared under a black suit.<\/p>\n
CLOTHING HANGER made of boxwood:<\/p>\n
The Jewish merchant Ernst Buxbaum, born in 1897, holder of the Iron Cross, continued to run a textile and women's clothing store in Kaufbeuren until 1938. After direct calls for a boycott of his business and imprisonment in the Dachau concentration camp in 1938, he hanged himself on April 19, 1940 "because the Nazis had such a hard time with him," as his surviving brother stated. During the time of his imprisonment, his brother liquidated the business in Kaufbeuren – the proceeds were far below value.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
