Juni 2025, 18\u201320 Uhr<\/strong><br \/><strong style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Niebuhrstra\u00dfe 5, Berlin-Charlottenburg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In seiner Werkserie<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Auctions<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>setzt sich der K\u00fcnstler<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Frank Gerritz<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>mit den Mechanismen des Kunstmarkts auseinander. Ausgangspunkt seiner Arbeiten sind Katalogcover gro\u00dfer Auktionsh\u00e4user \u2013 Symbole eines Systems, in dem Kunstwerke zu Markenprodukten werden.<\/p>\n<p>Gerritz \u00fcberarbeitet diese Vorlagen, indem er sie mit schwarzem Paintstick \u00fcberzieht und nur kleine Ausschnitte der Originalmotive sichtbar l\u00e4sst. Die so entstehenden Werke verbinden industrielle Reproduktion mit individueller Handschrift. Durch die lineare Struktur der \u00dcbermalung entsteht eine neue Oberfl\u00e4che, die das Verh\u00e4ltnis von Sichtbarkeit und Verdeckung thematisiert.<\/p>\n<p>Die Ausstellung zeigt eine Auswahl von Arbeiten, die seit 2009 entstanden sind. Gerritz arbeitet medien\u00fcbergreifend \u2013 auf Aluminium, Papier, MDF oder direkt auf der Wand.
