Description

The painting is inspired by the new "Elbbrücken" quarter in Hamburg. The Hamburg Elbe bridges are several independent bridge structures that cross the Elbe in Hamburg. They connect the northern parts of the city with the Elbe islands. There is a train station on a bridge. A special feature of the station is that the railway line emerges from its subterranean location and runs parallel to the Elbe bridges at a high level. In my work, I bundle high-tech and interrupt traditional tectonics. This gives the spatial objects an incredible plasticity, a combination of volumes and shapes in a colorful kaleidoscope of postmodern styles.
